Please know that Life’s River is NOT an emergency shelter. If you are in need of emergency shelter, rent/utility assistance, medical or other care, please use the following list of local resources or dial 2-1-1. If you are experiencing a medical or life-threatening emergency, please dial 9-1-1. Out of respect and an abundance of caution for the safety of the residents currently living in our residential space, please do not show up at Life’s River, as we will not be able to serve you without an appointment.
Through Life’s River residency program, residents receive rent and utility-free housing combined with a comprehensive array of support services to help you reclaim your life situation. Participants must agree to follow our program guidelines:
Work towards short-term and long-term goals
Have an ability and desire to maintain employment full-time on a consistent basis
Maintain stabilization of symptoms of any mental illness(es)
Attend life skills classes
Participate in community living
Follow a strict budget plan and be open about finances
Program Qualifications
Head of household must be 18 years of age or older
Have a work or residence connection with Franklin County
Cannot be on the Sex Offender Registry
Must be willing to agree to a background check and no active warrants
No active substance use
Ready to participate in a challenging program that demands self-discipline and personal growth
